About Shipping Our Pies

Duarte's homemade pies are shipped frozen and unbaked, and are kept frozen during shipment by a small portion of dry ice.
The dry ice generally dissipates in transit, but occasionally a little excess will remain.
Do not touch the dry ice. Instructions for how to handle dry ice will be included with your order.

Because we make a special trip to get dry ice for pie orders, we have to group the orders into one day of the week.
We ship out our homemade pies every Monday morning.
If the level of orders increases significantly (during the holidays, etc.) we ship out more frequently as necessary.

You can have your pie shipped UPS Overnight, 2-day, or 3-day.
