Pescadero itself is a step back in time. Pescadero's historic buildings surround hundreds of acres of farmland. As one drives into town, people working the open fields of artichokes, brussel sprouts, and strawberries conjure a feeling of days past. Having a small town such as Pescadero exist in the middle of the S.F. Bay Area adds to the versatility of this region.

Duarte's Tavern and Restaurant is located two miles east of scenic HWY 1, placed nearly at mid-point between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. We are 17 miles south of Half Moon Bay, and approximately an hour's drive from such cities as Palo Alto, San Francisco, and the Silicon Valley area. From 101S: Take 101S to Highway 92W. Travel West to Half Moon Bay. At the intersection of 92 and 1 go south on Highway 1. Travel 15 miles to Pescadero. Turn left on Pescadero Road, go two miles to a stop sign. Duarte's Tavern is on the left at the intersection of Pescadro and Stage Roads.

From 280S: Travel on 280S to Highway 1 Pacifica exit. Travel through Pacifica on Highway 1 to Half Moon Bay. Continue through Half Moon Bay. Duarte's Tavern is 15 miles south of the 92/1 intersection. Turn left on Pescadero Road, go two miles to a stop sign. Duarte's Tavern is on the left at the intersection of Pescadro and Stage Roads.

From San Jose
